ETL
Systems
launches
new
Hurricane
Matrix
exclusively
at
SATELLITE
2016
ETL
Systems,
a
global
designer
and
manufacturer
of
RF
distribution
equipment
for
satellite
communications
will
exclusively
showcase
its
latest
Hurricane
Matrix
at
SATELLITE
2016
in
Washington.
The
Hurricane
Matrix
will
be
demonstrated
alongside
ETL
Systems’
StingRay
RF
over
Fibre,
Piranha
Power
Inserter
units,
and
LS
Series
Monitoring
Switch
Upgrade.
The
new
64 x
64
Hurricane
Matrix
is
the
smallest
matrix
of
its
kind
in
the
market
with
inclusive
LNB
powering
in a
4U
compact,
modular
chassis.
Hurricane’s
flexible
design
offers
optimised
performance
and
a
range
of
individual
options
to
suit
a
particular
set
of
RF
needs,
such
as
fibre
inputs,
variable
gain
and
variable
slope.
The
850-2450
MHz
operating
frequency
allows
for
Ka-band
and
HTS
applications,
while
minimising
power
consumption
as
only
active
routes
are
powered.
Visitors
to
the
stand
will
be
also
able
to
see
new
developments
to
ETL’s
StingRay
RF
over
fibre
range,
including
new
redundancy
systems,
new
optical
splitters
and
CWDM
modules.
The
1+1
and
4+1
redundancy
options
will
provide
additional
resilience
for
uplink
and
downlink
transmissions
over
fibre
while
the
optical
splitter
modules
allow
distribution
of
signal
to
multiple
control
rooms.
The
CWDM
modules
will
allow
8
wavelengths
on 1
single
fibre
cable,
providing
lower
loss
in
the
signal,
as
well
as
distribution
of
RF
signals
up
to
50
km,
allowing
for
longer
transmission
distances
than
existing
StringRay
products.
A
range
of
indoor
and
outdoor
StingRay
units
will
be
on
display.
The
Piranha
Power
Inserter
units
provide
DC
powering
options
in a
compact
1U
high
19”
chassis
for
a
range
of
components
and
devices
in
satellite
ground
station
RF
and
power
distribution
chains.
The
units
are
compact,
expandable
and
customisable.
The
LS
Series
Monitoring
Switch
Upgrade
includes
improved
local
control
and
monitoring
facilities
with
front
panel
now
featuring
a
keypad
and
display
panel,
as
well
as
improved
overall
performance
such
as
return
loss,
isolation
and
faster
switching
time.
Also
on
show
at
SATELLITE
2016
will
be
ETL’s
Alto
amplifiers,
Dextra
Splitters
and
Combiners
and
other
matrix
models,
including
the
popular
128x128
Vulcan
Matrix
and
the
32 x
32
Enigma
Matrix.

at
the
event

range
of
products
and
highlight
ETL’s

is
designed
to
fit
their
exact
specifications.
Our

are
produced
to
the
highest
specification
and
we
look
forward
to
showing

what
they
can
achieve
with
them.”
