Arabsat participates
in the International Broadcasting Convention
Arab Satellite Communications Organization (Arabsat)
participates in the International Broadcasting
Convention (IBC) held in Amsterdam, Netherlands, from
11th -15th Sept. 2015. This exhibition is considered the
largest international gathering attended by many
satellite TV broadcasting officials.
Eng. Khalid Bin Ahmed Balkheyour President & CEO of
Arabsat has stated “Arabsat will present the services of
its state-of-art satellite Badr-7, scheduled to be
launched by the end of 2015.Arabsat will also showcase
its three new planned satellites, whose contracts were
signed earlier this year.
He added “The first satellite is Hellsat-3 at the
orbital position 39° East , the second is
(Hellas-Sat-4 / SaudiGeoSat-1) a joint satellite with
King Abdul Aziz City for Science and Technology ,that
will also operate at the orbital position 39° East
.While the third Satellite is 6-A at Arabsat orbital
position 30.5° East which would support the competitive
position of Arabsat as the first satellite provider of
the satellite services and capacities in the Arab &
African market and neighborhood.
