Further
Enhancements for DEV’s OPTRIBUTION® Portfolio
DWDM up to 48:1 and Matrix with optical inputs launched on IBC 2013
Within its OPTRIBUTION® product family for the
optical transmission, reception and distribution of RF signals in satellite
ground stations and CATV head-ends, DEV Systemtechnik has expanded its
portfolio and now offers modules to be used in their OPTRIBUTION® Chassis
based on DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing) technology. With
DEV’s OPTRIBUTION® System for DWDM, 48 signals can be transmitted over one
single optical fiber simultaneously with a maximum signal quality over a
distance of more than 200 kilometers. A DEV OPTRIBUTION® Chassis of 3 RU can
be equipped with a 16:1 DWDM System. The user saves purchase or leasing
costs and increases systems reliability because of fewer connection and link
lines requirements.
In addition, a DEV Matrix with optical inputs
will be launched at IBC. Bringing together optical reception and RF Matrix
functionality, the new system can be realized and upgraded to any size up to
1024 x 1024 and is easy to manage with one CPU and one Web-Interface
regardless of size.
DEV’s OPTRIBUTION® product
family will be presented during IBC 2013 from 13 to 17 September in Amsterdam at Booth No. 1.F34 in Hall 1.
