Reflex Aerospace
Scales European Satellite Production Backed by
Planned NVIDIA Investment
October 19th, 2026
Reflex Aerospace is scaling its
sovereign production capabilities in Europe, backed
by a planned minority investment from NVIDIA. The
investment will support production expansion in
Bavaria and further development of the company’s
satellite platform architecture with specific focus
on on-board processing capabilities.
This planned investment follows
Reflex Aerospace’s record €50 million Series A in
November 2025 and comes as the company moves from
its first missions to constellation-scale
production.
Reflex Aerospace designs and
manufactures payload-centric satellites. Built on
its platform architecture, Reflex’s satellites can
be adapted quickly to customer payloads across Earth
observation, intelligence, space domain awareness,
and communications missions. From order to delivery
of a first-of-a-kind satellite, Reflex typically
needs nine to twelve months – a fraction of the two
to four years common in traditional satellite
programs.
The company’s strategy responds
directly to Europe’s security needs. Existing
European space infrastructure often relies on a few
costly single satellites. Reflex builds
mission-tailored, mid-sized satellites for low Earth
orbit constellations, with delivery timelines
designed to help customers deploy and replenish
critical capabilities more quickly in the face of
disruption or targeted attacks. With manufacturing
anchored in Germany and a strong focus on sovereign
control over supply chain, manufacturing, and
operations, Reflex aims to close critical gaps in
Europe’s independent access to space-based
intelligence and communications.
“Europe needs satellites it can
build, control and deploy on its own terms – and it
needs them now,” said Walter Ballheimer, CEO of
Reflex Aerospace. “Over the past year, we have shown
that our approach works: from our first satellite in
orbit to platforms for some of the most demanding
constellations in Europe; including platform designs
for very-high resolution stereo imaging and orbital
data center constellations. We are pleased to
welcome NVIDIA among our investors as we continue to
scale production to meet growing demand.”
NVIDIA joins existing investors
including Alpine Space Ventures, Human Element,
Bayern Kapital and HTGF. Financial terms were not
disclosed.
