A1 Group Renews CEE
DTH Capacity on Eutelsat 16° East
Eutelsat and A1 Group have
renewed a multi-year, multi-transponder agreement,
reaffirming the company's long-standing commitment
to Eutelsat's flagship 16° East video neighbourhood.
The renewed capacity supports A1 Group’s delivery of
the technical DTH television platform for A1
Croatia, as well as technical services, including
signal transport, uplink and encryption, for
multiple TV broadcasters across Europe.
Under the agreement, A1 Group
will continue to leverage multiple transponders at
Eutelsat's 16° East orbital position to distribute a
broad portfolio of premium television channels and
services to households across Croatia and CEE. The
agreement ensures the continued delivery of
high-quality broadcast services and reinforces 16°
East as the leading satellite neighbourhood for
video distribution across Central and Eastern
Europe. With extensive coverage across the region,
Eutelsat's 16° East position reaches more than 80
million DTH, cable and IPTV homes and carries over
600 television channels.
Jakub Brzeczkowski, RVP Sales
Video Europe at Eutelsat, said, "We are delighted to
extend our successful collaboration with A1 Group.
This renewal underscores the enduring value of our
16° East video neighbourhood, which remains the
leading satellite hotspot for broadcasting audiences
across the Balkans and wider Central and Eastern
Europe."
Elena Petrova, Head of Group
Content and Media Solution at A1 Group, added, "The
renewal of our agreement with Eutelsat reflects the
importance of satellite broadcasting in delivering a
high-quality television experience to our customers
across Croatia and CEE. Eutelsat's 16° East
neighbourhood offers outstanding coverage,
reliability and access to a vibrant video ecosystem,
enabling us to continue providing viewers with the
content they value most."
