In recent days, information has been spread in the media that Azerbaijan will buy a satellite from a foreign country. Unfortunately, the information was delivered to the audience in an incomplete and distorted form.

In general, a thorough investigation is required prior to the process of developing and commissioning a new satellite. In satellite services, the customer has requirements such as novelty, change, suitable price, after-sales support, innovativeness. These expectations are constantly changing and updating.

At the same time, economic and non-economic benefits and benefits that our country can get from the new satellite project in the future are analyzed before the satellite is launched into orbit.

Azercosmos is negotiating with internationally renowned satellite manufacturers for putting a new satellite of Azerbaijan into orbit. This is an ongoing process and will continue until the most appropriate choice is made for our country and our customers.
