Sign MoU for Global Distribution Partnership to
Address Key Satellite IoT Connectivity

Marlinka nd OQ Technology
announced the signing of a
memorandum-of-understanding (MoU) for joint global
partnership towards the distribution of Satellite 5G
connectivity and hardware that is compatible with
existing cellular network and based on the 3gpp 5g
non-terrestrial network cellular standard. The
agreement paves the way for Marlink to commercialise
OQ Technology services across key enterprise
verticals including Enterprise, Agriculture,
Maritime, Energy, Telcos and Government, but also
for leveraging Marlink’s capabilities, services, and
network to expand OQ Technology global coverage.
The partnership includes
introducing OQ product to Marlink customers for
pilot testing around the globe and also working with
Marlink towards the commercial phase. In return OQ
Technology will offer Marlink discounted pricing as
an early adopter. The partnership reflects the
deepening cooperation between the two companies.

terrestrial network solutions and is Number 1
Maritime VSAT Connectivity Provider with fully
managed end-to-end network solutions combining
high-quality hybrid connectivity with a range of
managed IT, IoT and OT and Cyber security solutions

including strategic PoPs, fully owned teleports and

OQ’s ‘cell-tower inside the
satellite’ technology aims to provide real-time
global connectivity with ultra-reliable low latency
communication (URLLC) and massive machine type
communications (mMTC) for applications in rural and
remote areas. The company’s 5G IoT/M2M communication
constellation is particularly suited for
applications in industries such as oil, gas,
logistics, mining and defence. Following the global
standard of 3GPP of narrowband IoT (NB-IoT), allows
OQ to provide a cost effective and highly scalable
system as well as access to a large ecosystem of
cellular chip vendors and operators.
