ReOrbit and EnduroSat sign
contract to demonstrate on-orbit capabilities
14.12.2021
ReOrbit and EnduroSat have
entered a commercial agreement for a partnership to
demonstrate on-orbit capabilities such as autonomous
station keeping, fault handling, formation flying,
as well as rendezvous and proximity operations using
a set of CubeSats flying in a vicinity. The
capabilities will be incorporated into ReOrbit’s
demo mission called “Ukko”, which will demonstrate
the company’s flight software and guidance,
navigation, and control (GNC) stack running on
EnduroSat’s market-leading nanosatellite platforms.
“I am really excited to
initiate this partnership. On-orbit rendezvous and
close proximity operations will open an array of new
possibilities for the commercial space players and
science programs. We are looking forward to support
ReOrbit's vision and push the capabilities of our
platforms and services further.” – said Raycho
Raychev, Founder & CEO EnduroSat.
“ReOrbit is happy for this
opportunity to partner up with EnduroSat. We see
many synergies between our companies, and we share
similar views of future space missions. The
cooperation between both companies will strongly
push space technology further. If we will ever truly
commercialise the space market and enable future
missions, satellites need advanced on-orbit
capabilities, which this mission will prove. This
will also increase our presence on the space market,
as our existing Gluon platform is mainly targeting
microsatellites.” – said Sethu Saveda Suvanam,
Founder & CEO ReOrbit.
