Ovzon receives repeat order from Italian MoD

Ovzon has received a new order from the Italian Ministry of Defense, the Ministero Della Difesa, through its local partner Gomedia Satcom. The order, which is an expansion of the current service, delivers Ovzon´s high speed satellite services, including terminals, for on the move and on the pause data applications. The service is for 12 months with delivery start in April 2021.

The Italian MoD have been using the Ovzon service since 2020. The service under this new order will be used for delivering broadband communication to vehicles and smaller teams on the ground where mobility is key, while still maintaining data rates that typically are only provided in fixed solutions. With the arrival of Ovzon’s next generation satellite Ovzon 3, which will launch in Q4 2021, the performance and functionality will be further enhanced.
