Establishes Strategic
Relationship with Elcome
International for Marine
Satellite Communication
Products and Services in
Middle East

Global Eagle
Entertainment Inc. has
appointed Elcome
International as sales
and service
representative in the
Middle East for its EMC
service line of maritime
VSAT solutions.
GEE is a worldwide
provider of end-to-end
connectivity and media
to the aviation,
maritime and land
mobility markets. Elcome
is a diversified turnkey
solutions provider of
marine electronics,
electrical and safety
systems for the global
maritime industry.
Elcome will employ its
network of engineering
and service facilities
across the Middle East
and South Asia to
install, commission,
provision and service
EMC’s Ku-band VSAT
systems. Elcome will
also provide shipboard
service and satellite
airtime plans.
Elcome and EMC are
currently working under
a fleetwide VSAT
contract for a major
tanker operator. The
contract includes global
voice, data, managed
internet and live TV
programming for crew
entertainment. Elcome is
also serving as the
primary customer
interface for worldwide
service for that
operator.
