OmniAccess Signs Capacity Deal to Serve Superyachts in the Middle East

October 24, 2013 SES announced OmniAccess, a leading VSAT service provider and network integrator in the luxury superyacht market, has signed a new Ku-band capacity deal on SES’ NSS-12 satellite to provide high-speed internet connectivity to superyachts in the Mediterranean, Black, Caspian and Arabian Seas.

OmniAccess will utilise the capacity located at 57 degrees East to keep their customers connected anytime via the data, VOIP, video conferencing services that they offer.

“As the superyacht industry continues to boom, we are delighted that OmniAccess has chosen SES to provide satellite capacity to meet their escalating demands for maritime broadband services worldwide,” said Simon Gatty Saunt, Vice President of Data & Mobility services at SES. “The NSS-12 satellite’s comprehensive coverage over The Gulf and the Mediterranean and Arabian Seas is ideal, as it enables OmniAccess to provide reliable mobile broadband solutions to their customers on board the superyachts.

“As a global satellite operator, SES is able to offer great reliability and flexibility, which will allow us to continue to provide high speed internet connectivity to our customers even as they sail between continents and to other parts of the world,” said Bertrand Hartman, CEO of OmniAccess. “SES’ ability to offer customised solutions to meet our business demands is especially important in an ever-changing industry such as ours.”
