Contract by ArcelorMittal in
Liberia
May 28, 2013
Spidersat Communications
Limited a wholly owned
subsidiary of ITC Global,
Inc. has been awarded a
comprehensive satellite
communications agreement to
provide VSAT network design
and provisioning to
ArcelorMittal SA
("ArcelorMittal), the
world's leading steel and
mining company, for several
of its locations in Liberia.
Under this agreement and
through its work with AMEC
plc ("AMEC"), one of
the world's leading
engineering, project
management and consultancy
companies, Spidersat will
provide connectivity from
ArcelorMittal's Western
Range Iron Ore Project
("WRIOP") sites in
Liberia to
North America
including supply,
installation, maintenance
and ongoing support.
Because of Spidersat's
custom solution,
ArcelorMittal will be able
to share and dynamically
allocate capacity between
the mining sites. This
solution uses the latest
technology and engineering
innovation, also providing
ArcelorMittal with increased
reliability and significant
throughput. Spidersat
currently provides
connectivity services to
ArcelorMittal at several
other mining locations in
Liberia.
"I
am proud that ArcelorMittal
has continued to work with
Spidersat and enlarge our
scope of work," said
Mike
Hennessey ,
Managing Director of
Spidersat. "I know
that we will continue to
exceed their expectations
and look forward to
providing ArcelorMittal with
the unparalleled
connectivity, service, and
support across their various
Africa mining
sites that we've shown them
in the past and will
continue to deliver." Added
Joe Spytek, CEO of ITC
Global, "ArcelorMittal's
award continues to validate
Africa as a
strategic priority market
for us, and further supports
our increased presence in
Africa through
our recent acquisition of
Spidersat. Our local
mining presence in key
mining markets across the
globe continues to
differentiate ITC Global and
allows us to support our
customers in the best manner
possible."
"ArcelorMittal is proud to
continue working with
Spidersat," said
Dave
Hansen , IT

team have shown us
outstanding network
connectivity and support,
which is key to the success
