Talia Adds
Arabsat Satellite Broadcast Playout
13 March 2013
Talia is pleased to announce the start
of broadcast playout services on the
Arabsat fleet. Located at 26 degrees
East, the Arabsat broadcast hotspot
offers more than 600 channels of
satellite television and radio stations.
Talia, an established data
communications, network, and satellite
solutions provider, will offer a
complete solution to channels so that
they can maximize their exposure while
minimizing their expense.
'This is the perfect opportunity for
channels to cover the Middle East, North
Africa, and Europe all on one
broadcast,' said Travis Mooney, Chief
Operations Officer of Talia. 'The BADR
position is unique and captures the
audiences of the Middle East, North
Africa, and Europe. With the flexibility
to provide any piece, or a complete
bespoke broadcast solution, we are
uniquely positioned to deliver the right
services, increase coverage, and offer
world-wide distribution to our
partners.'
Broadcasting with Arabsat marks the
expansion of Talia's Media Division and
allows Talia to offer a complete
solution to their existing broadcast
customers, as well as offer new partners
any solution they require. Talia now
offers, separately or as a bundle:
contribution links, teleport services,
satellite broadcast playout, as well as
IPTV solutions.
'Talia has been a great partner and very
successful in their data communications
business,' said Nabil Shanti, Chief
Commercial Officer at Arabsat. 'We were
there at the start of their data
communications business, and we are
pleased to add them to our list of Media
Access Points and be partners in their
expansion into broadcast services.'
