With Poland all set to join the European Space Agency (ESA), Quantum International Corp.’s (OTCBB: QUAN) latest target, the Industrial Research Institute for Automation and Measurements (PIAP), has already proposed its initial contribution to the organization.
Together with the Polish Space Research Centre, PIAP has pledged to deliver image analysis systems for orbital navigation for future ESA projects and spacecraft.
PIAP’s commitment to space-related projects was a key asset in Poland’s successful bid to join the ESA. Quantum is currently conducting due diligence toward a potential joint venture with PIAP, one of Europe’s leading hubs of innovation in robotics and automation technology.
“The prospect of working with one of the most advanced centers of robotics in the world is very enticing,” said Quantum CEO Robert Federowicz. “Revolutionary commercial products and technologies from LED lights to crystal silicon solar cells have resulted from the unique challenges overcome to achieve space travel. We can’t wait to see the incredible new inventions and innovations that PIAP comes up with as they collaborate with the ESA.”
