Vocality To Launch FleetBroadband Multi-voice PBX
30 April 2012
Vocality, has announced that it is now shipping its BASICS Multivoice hardware platform for use with Inmarsat Multi-voice for FleetBroadband.
Vocality is preparing to launch “BASICS Multivoice for FleetBroadband”, a new hardware platform designed to take advantage of the forthcoming enhancements to Inmarsat’s FleetBroadband service. The device has been designed for use alongside current FleetBroadband terminals, and enables users to extend the single voice capability, upgrading from just 1 phone call to support 8 concurrent phone calls. This is achieved without the need for any further equipment, beyond the simple Vocality device, and with widely-available standard off-the-shelf analogue phones.
BASICS Multivoice for FleetBroadband can be connected to a PBX onboard a ship, or can have up to 8 regular low-cost analogue phone handsets directly connected, offering crew, passengers or service people access to high-quality, low-cost voice services.
Vocality is working with existing maritime distribution partners and service providers to connect to their crew calling packages where possible.
