Solaris Mobile Recognised by International Telecommunication Union for the provision Mobile Satellite Services in Emergencies

Solaris Mobile Limited, has been acknowledged by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and included in the ITU-R list of Mobile Satellite Services (MSS) systems that can provide relief operation in the event of natural disasters and similar emergencies.

Solaris Mobile's technology provides video, radio, data and two-way communications to mobile and portable devices, allowing it to provide public interest services.

The technology will be of major benefit in the event of terrestrial network infrastructure failure.
