GlobeCast and Intelsat Offer Services for the Games

In response to the significant sports broadcast interest in London next year, GlobeCast and Intelsat, the world’s leading provider of satellite services, have partnered to offer rights holders and non-rights holders stand up positions and global delivery services from Stratford and central London. This will enable broadcasters to complement their coverage of the Games. 

>From July 20 to Aug. 13, GlobeCast and Intelsat will provide a live position from Stratford with a unobstructed view of the stadium, and another live position in central London, with the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben as backdrops. In addition to these fully manned positions, GlobeCast and Intelsat customers will also benefit from playout services and worldwide fiber and satellite delivery.

A projected television audience in the billions will be watching. GlobeCast and Intelsat, as at every major sporting event, will ensure flawless technical delivery to keep viewers satisfied.
