C-COM Receives $1.5 Million Worth of Orders from Russia

August 16, 2011

C-COM Satellite Systems Inc. has received $1,500,000 worth of orders for its iNetVu® mobile antenna products from a number of its Russian resellers.

The satellite antenna systems will be used for oil and gas exploration, military communication, satellite news gathering and disaster management. Some of the systems have already shipped this month and all will be delivered before the end of August.

A number of antenna systems are configured with the recently announced controllers, which support the GLONASS satellite navigation system. This modern GPS system is operated by the Russian Space Forces on behalf of the Government of Russia. The same controller already supports the US GPS system and will also support the Chinese Compass and the European Galileo satellite navigation systems. C-COM is one of the first companies in the world offering its Russian and other global customers the benefits of worldwide GPS coverage provided by two satellite navigation systems.

"The Russian market continues to be a very large and a very important market for C-COM. Our extensive customer base in that region values the cost effectiveness and the high reliability of our iNetVu antenna systems, which in many instances deliver life saving communication solutions and are counted on to perform reliably every time they are deployed. We are pleased to see the steady flow of repeat orders from our Russian resellers and we appreciate their continued support." said Leslie Klein, President and CEO of C-COM.
