RSCC concludes a partnership agreement with Castor Broadcasting on occasional use TV in Europe

The Russian Satellite Communications Company (RSCC) – the state satellite Operator – has entered the TV broadcasting market in Western Europe. RSCC and Castor Broadcasting (the Netherlands) company have signed a Partnership Agreement on providing European TV & Radio companies with satellite news gathering services for live programs, sport events, etc. Occasional use services are provided using the Express-AM44 satellite at 11 West orbital position, which satellite’s high-power beam ensures stable footprints across Europe from Spain to Ukraine and European part of Russia.

The offer to use Express-AM44 capacity for this purpose has attracted within several months a large number of customers thanks to the competitive pricing and optimal elevation of the satellite. Using the unique online order system created by Castor Broadcasting, SNG slots can be easily booked or reserved by pencil booking. RSCC and Castor Broadcasting have defined slots with an allocated bandwidth from 2 to 36 MHz on the Express-AM44 satellite.
