June 18, 2010

Integral Systems Europe has been awarded a new satellite ground station contract from British Sky Broadcasting (Sky) for Harlequin 1, Sky's new state-of-the-art and sustainable broadcast facility.

The ISE UK team has been a supplier to Sky since 1997. As part of Harlequin 1 development, the new contract calls for delivering eleven earth station systems with antennas up to 7.3m, transmit and receive RF subsystems and terrestrial transmissions receiver equipment.

"The upgrade and expansion of our ground systems infrastructure is a critical component in our ongoing efforts to provide our millions of customers with the best and most reliable HD programming," said Troy Smith, Director of Broadcast Services, BSkyB.

"We are delighted to be extending our long-standing relationship with Sky, providing them with a comprehensive range of market-proven ground station solutions," said ISE UK President Andrew Smith.
