UltiSat Expands Managed VSAT Service Options to Remote Areas including Southwest Asia and Africa

11 March 2010

UltiSat, Inc., is offering voice, video, and data services to Southwest Asia, Europe, Russia, and Central Asia, using Eutelsat’s W7 satellite at 36E.

From its European teleport in Denmark, UltiSat will support applications ranging from simple Internet access, web browsing, email, and VoIP to advanced managed VSAT networks, broadcast services, and virtual private networks (VPNs) using iDirect’s advanced Evolution VSAT platform.

“UltiSat already provides seamless global networks and the addition of the high-powered Eutelsat W7 satellite to our portfolio further strengthens our global reach and ability to provide reliable and rugged custom solutions throughout the region,” said M.G. Abutaleb, CEO, UltiSat. “Our modern teleport infrastructure and strategic location in Europe complements W7’s coverage to ensure premium access throughout the Middle East and Europe.”

UltiSat provides design, installation, maintenance, and monitoring for shared or dedicated services on multiple platforms, including iDirect and DVB-S2, and comprehensive teleport services including space segment, fiber, and cable access (including MPLS) to C-, Ku, Ka-, X-, and L-band services.

Leveraging W7’s coverage footprint and its reliable teleport services, UltiSat can deliver clear-channel, low latency transmission of voice over IP (VoIP) services via scalable private networks to hard-to-reach and hostile environments in SWA, Africa, and the Middle East. UltiSat VoIP infrastructure provides exceptional features, functionality, and control, to guarantee VoIP quality, even on congested networks. In addition, committed information rate (CIR) capability allows the ability to plan bandwidth needs to ensure high-quality calls.
