“Our unique technology is now able to offer the highest H.264 profile for contribution and we are very pleased to have GlobeCast as our first customer in Europe” said Claude Stoffel, Sales Director for EMEA. “By choosing ATEME, GlobeCast has acquired a state of the art platform able to serve all customer needs, able to support 1080p/50 and which will be easily upgradable in the future.”

Ateme’s CM4101 contribution encoder & DR8400 universal decoder provide unmatched video quality in terms of bandwidth efficiency using their innovative H.264 4:2:2 10-bit technology. The Ateme solution enables service providers to fulfill all satellite transmission requirements from MPEG2 SD to H.264 4:2:0 8-bit to 4:2:2 10-bit. They allow HD services to be deployed in DSNG applications while ensuring the best visual quality thanks to optimized bandwidth utilization.
