ST Electronics New Manpack VSAT Terminal

18 June 2012

ST Electronics (Satcom & Sensor Systems) will showcase one of its most
innovative products to date under its Agilis brand. The new Agilis Manpack VSAT Terminal (Agilis
Manpack) joins the stable of RF (radio frequency) products that are designed and manufactured for the
commercial, government and defence industries.

The Agilis Manpack operates in super high Ku-Band (13.75 GHz to 14.8GHz) and is one of the world’s
smallest of its kind today. Measuring just 500L x 300W x 170H mm, it weighs just 10kg, lighter than
any in the market. It delivers a high performance standard and can be quickly deployed in less than 10
minutes. The Agilis Manpack features a GPS system that helps avoid the need to reconfigure the
modem should there be a need to change the deployment location. An intelligent sensor system
provides realtime feedback of the antenna look-angle through a built-in 4.5 inch LCD screen, allowing
even non-technical personnel to perform antennae alignments easily.

Highly suited for use in rugged environments, the Agilis Manpack is custom-built with an eye to
providing reliability, quality innovation and is an additional choice for users who require mobility. One of
the notable highlights in the Agilis Manpack is an intelligent power management system that offers an
advantage of better system operating time.

“Our Agilis VSAT solutions will offer better communication and mobility to our customers. We will
continue to push the envelope in product design and engineering to develop reliable, cutting-edge and
innovative products that will offer an unparalleled choice for our customer. The widespread deployment
of our products to over 100 countries reflects the market’s acceptance of our products and the excellent
service levels provided by our engineers.” said~ Rajanik Mark Jayasuriya, Vice President, Satellite Networks Business Group, ST Electronics (Satcom & Sensor Systems)
