Optimization Technology
June 20th, 2011
SpeedCast Limited has
selected the XipLink optimization technology to
optimize their network traffic while providing
their customers with improved connectivity
performance. SpeedCast thoroughly tested the
XipLink technology in their network operation
center before selecting XipLink. SpeedCast
expects the technology to improve their
customers’ web experience with faster speed and
performance. SpeedCast anticipates increases of
30% or more for web traffic by utilizing the
XipLink optimization technology.
There were many determining
factors in SpeedCast’s decision to select
XipLink. For instance, the ease of
implementation of the single-sided XipLink Hub
Optimization (XHO) product, stream compression,
and class-based weighted fair queuing, were
among the many key technology attributes.
"We are excited to be
teaming up with XipLink to offer our customers
with improved link performance," said Peter
Radford, Vice President of Products, SpeedCast
Limited. "The increased throughput combined with
the other factors of this advanced technology
makes it an ideal solution for satellite
broadband.. The single-sided XipLink XHO
technology means that customers can take
advantage of the improved performance without
the need to deploy additional hardware at their
remote sites. This makes deployment of the
technology much simpler, with reduced
complexity, and allows the technology to be much
more accessible for our end customers."
XipLink’s XA-Series
appliances, range in scale from 2 Mbps and 50
connections for use in small office locations to
redundant high performance systems operating at
155 Mbps and 30,000 simultaneous connections.
"XipLink is very pleased to
have been selected by SpeedCast through such a
thorough review process," said Sasmith Reddi,
Asia Sales Director of XipLink. "SpeedCast’s
selection based on factors such as efficient
implementation characteristics, scalability,
flexibility, and quick ROI highlights XipLink’s
focus to develop the best technology available."
