Ericsson will be showcasing its latest TV video solutions at CABSAT 2015, which takes place from March 10-12th in Dubai. Over 12,000 attendees from more than 60 countries will have the chance to see Ericsson demonstrate how its innovative services and solutions address the demand for advanced television experiences and video accessibility at any time, any place and on any device.
Content owners, TV service providers and broadcasters gathering at CABSAT 2015 are facing a range of challenges when it comes to meeting the high expectations of consumers. Visitors to stand #E4-40 at the event will be able to see how Ericsson is drawing on its unique place at the convergence of the media and IP worlds to drive the future of TV through innovative solutions, services and deep industry knowledge.
On-stand demonstrations will showcase Ericsson’s award-winning TV video compression solutions portfolio for Contribution and Distribution, multi-platform and multi-screen video processing. The demonstrations will give insight into increasing efficiencies and reducing OPEX by having simplified control and management of distributed video devices over modern IP networks.
Businesses can learn how to benefit from up to 20 percent reductions in transmission costs without compromising picture quality or operational reliability. They will also highlight how to increase customer loyalty and reduce churn in a fragmented market by delivering premium picture quality with new and differentiated services, keeping risk and costs levels to a minimum when choosing the right platform (CPU, GPU or video-optimized).
On-stand demonstrations will include:
- The AVP 3000 Voyager, Ericsson’s sixth-generation DSNG solution for live news, sports and entertainment, which delivers multi-codec, multi-format and multi-channel operations
- The SVP 2000 ABR Contribution Encoder and Decoder, which provides operators with a cost-effective means of delivery and receipt of content using unmanaged IP networks
- Ericsson Virtualized Encoding, the industry’s first unified software solution designed to remove the complexity form TV Anywhere video processing
- The Rx8200 Advanced Modular Receiver, which provides DVB-S2 satellite, IP and ASI transport stream inputs within a single unit, as well as multi-format decoding, improved picture quality and low latency
- The AVP 4000 System Encoder, powered by Ericsson’s first in-house programmable video chip and designed to overcome today’s bandwidth and delivery constraints by delivering the necessary flexibility, velocity and agility to deploy new services
