Gateway Teleport – New Earth Station Facility

Gateway Teleport has recently completed the rebuild of our facility at a new site in Trentham, Upper Hutt.

The rebuild totally replaces the old facility at Railway Avenue, Upper Hutt and this site has been decommissioned.

The new build has taken just over 3 years and the construction is New Zealand’s largest Commercial Earth Station facility.

We currently have operational 2 x C-Band 6.2M Antennas and 2 x Ku[1]Band 6.2M Antennas. Construction has just been completed of a 6.2M

Antenna System that can be configured for either C-Band or Ku-Band to meet customer requirements and is available from September 2024.

Gateway Teleport operates Optus Satellite’s Customer Service and Monitoring System (CSM) with a 6.2M Ku Antenna and 4 x 2.4M Monitoring Antennas.

We also provide C-Band Services on Eutelsat E172B for RCG who delivers a 3 MNO Voice and Internet 4G Service to the Chatham Islands.

Gateway Built the “On Island” C-Band 6.2M Antenna in the Chatham Islands.

Gateway Teleport is also working with LEO Service Providers to provide local Gateway Services.
