Infostellar starts work on new satcoms gateway at Taiki Ground Station

Infostellar, a dedicated satellite antenna hosting business and  Ground-Segment-as-a-Service (GSaaS) provider, is pleased to announce that it has started construction of a new satellite communications (satcoms) gateway at  its Taiki Japan ground station in support of an unnamed satellite internet connectivity provider.

Company CEO, Naomi Kurahara said, “Since its inception in 2016, Infostellar has aimed to provide creative ground segment services to satellite operators around the world.   Our ground station hosting site in Taiki has already attracted several key Earth Observation and Satellite Communications players that require services in the Asia-Pacific region.  We are very proud to now be supporting our new client and their strategically important gateway Earth station. We look forward to the continued expansion of dedicated hosting services and global operations from our Japanese base of operations.” 

Kurahara added, “Infostellar’s team in Japan, the US and UK collaborated in developing the Taiki Earth Station, together building a world class uplink/downlink capability that is attracting the world’s leading satcom and Earth Observation companies to base their antennas in Japan”

The contract to host the undisclosed international satcoms operator at Infostellar’s ground station in Taiki, Japan was negotiated by Infostellar Inc. USA CEO, Tom Pirrone,   “Infostellar’s mission is “We connect Earth and Space to empower the future”, and our vision is “Be the most effective enabler of space business by providing the best access to satellite”.These are values shared by our client and why they chose Infostellar and our Earth Station in Taiki as lead on their strategic gateway in Japan”, said Pirrone.

In addition to this new gateway in Taiki, Infostellar is also the provider of GSaaS services from a network of stations that include Viasat RTE, Amazon Web Services (AWS-GS), and other ground stations in strategic locations globally supporting a wide range of international satellite operators to delivery their TT&C and data downlinks delivering their images and other information in near-real-time .  Infostellar also provides a portfolio of technical  and regulatory services to complement its GSaaS and hosting businesses.
