CSL Launches Surya Citra Televisi (SCTV) in Collaboration with SpeedCast

CSL Limited, announced the introduction of, "Surya Citra Televisi (SCTV)" to customers of their SIM service "Hemat" dedicated for Indonesian expatriates living in Hong Kong. Supplied by SpeedCast in mobile format, this channel provides an array of entertainment content for Indonesian communities worldwide. This latest launch follows on CSL’s successful introduction of the "MNC-The Indonesian channel" in August 2009.
SCTV is an Indonesian television station, headquartered in South Jakarta. SCTV began broadcasting in 1990 and delivers 24-hour live streaming entertainment bringing Indonesians closer to home with local content. It provides an array of favorite films, family dramas, mini-series and reality shows in a just a single channel.
SpeedCast partnered with CSL to deliver the content and provides the channel downlink, live encoding and delivery services, as well as maintaining 24/7 monitoring and operations from its world-class Network Operations Centre and teleport facilities in Hong Kong.
With an estimated population of 130,000 Indonesian expatriates living in Hong Kong, they represent Hong Kong’s 2nd largest foreign community. Building on the successful launch of its first Indonesian TV channel last year, CSL has added the new TV content to enhance the user experience for this community on its award winning Next G network. CSL is committed to providing choices of services that best suit their different customers’ needs in Hong Kong.
