C-COM’s Antenna Deployed by Malaysian Post and Telecom Malaysia

May 4, 2010

C-COM Satellite Systems Inc. has delivered an initial number of Mobile antenna systems to Numix-Engineering SDN BHD, its Malaysia based reseller, for deployment by Post Malaysia for this country's first-of-its-kind Post-Automated-Machine (PAM) and Post-on-Wheels, or mobile post office.

"PAM is similar to a bank's ATM (automated teller machine) but the first of its kind that is integrated with postal service. The response from the public has been very encouraging and we plan to deploy another 30 units of PAM this year. Our target is to have a PAM in every post office nationwide. It will run round-the-clock in due course," Post Malaysia chairman Tan Sri Aseh Che Mat told a news conference.

"We are very pleased that the mobile antenna has been selected by such prestigious organizations like Post Malaysia and Telekom Malaysia to deliver this unique application to their customers through our authorized reseller Numix-Engineering. It is encouraging to see how innovative and creative satellite mobile applications such as these using the antenna system's are changing the way people do business in Asia," said Leslie Klein, President and CEO of C-COM Satellite Systems.
