MyanmarSat 2: Update from Myanmar Satellite Forum 2017

 U Win Aung, Chief Engineer, Satellite Department, Ministry of Transport & Communications addressed the Myanmar Satellite Forum 2017 as afternoon keynote speaker, his presentation once again gave an informative account on Myanmar's ambitions to achieve social economic growth utilising satellite to deliver domestic services.

Government approved IRU Investment in IS 39 Satellite for MyanmarSat 2
Intelsat 39 is a high-power geostationary communications satellite, which will broadband networking and video distribution services in Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. .
Space Systems/Loral announced that IS 39 satellite is built on the SSL-1300 platform and carries a C- and Ku-band communications payload.
The satellite will use both electric and chemical propulsion for orbit raising and will be operated with all-electric propulsion on orbit.
Satellite will be launched by Arianespace
