Pt. Universal Satelit Indonesia and the
Intersputnik entered into an agreement on cooperation in using
frequencies at 103°E
Pt. Universal Satelit Indonesia and the Intersputnik International
Organization of Space Communications entered into an agreement on
cooperation in using frequencies at 103°E for a new
telecommunications satellite to cover Indonesia and its neighboring
regions.
The agreement was signed in the presence of Indonesian
government officials and the Russian Ambassador to Indonesia.
Carrying transponders in planned C and Ku bands, the satellite is
slated for launch in 2020.
