ScopeTel and VTI sign MoU to provide satellite based telecommunications services to the Oil And Gas sector in Vietnam and Malaysia.

ScopeTel Sdn Bhd and Vietnam Telecom International have agreed to collaborate to provide services in Vietnam and Malaysia specifically to address the needs of Multinational Oil and Gas companies. This collaboration will enable both companies to immediately provide seamless telecommunications related services to their Oil and Gas customers on a region wide basis.

 

The preferred satellite for this collaboration would be VTI’s own VinaSat-1 and VTI will provide all the necessary satellite capacity for the joint projects as well all necessary licensing per the government regulations in Vietnam.

 

ScopeTel, which is Malaysia’s premier Oil and Gas Telecommunications Services Company, will provide all the necessary hardware to facilitate satellite communications.

 

ScopeTel shall also aid in the marketing of satellite services on behalf of VinaSat regionally as well as provide all technical operational assistance.

 

This collaboration will enable Oil and Gas companies in Vietnam and regionally to have a single source that can immediately address all their telecommunications needs efficiently and cost effectively.
