SpaceCom International and Asia Broadcast Satellite Sign Multiple Transponder Deal on ABS-7

February 21, 2011

Asia Broadcast Satellite (ABS) and SpaceCom International, LLC (SpaceCom) announced that they have signed a long term, multi-transponder agreement for Ku-band capacity on ABS-7 to support SpaceCom's rapid growth throughout the Middle East and Asia region.

SpaceCom has quickly become a leading provider of telecommunications services and solutions throughout the Middle East and Southeast Asia. The Middle East Ku-band capacity will be used to support the Government, Military, GSM/Cellular, Telecom and Oil & Gas requirements. The addition of this Ku-band capacity to their inventory allows SpaceCom to deliver new solutions as well as expand many existing network requirements, using the most advanced satellite technology available.

"We are delighted to partner and support SpaceCom's continued growth in this region. The high powered Ku-Band beams on ABS-7 are ideal for critical services to government applications and other commercial services," said Tom Choi, Chief Executive Officer of ABS.

"We're very excited about the addition of ABS-7 Ku satellite capacity to our solutions portfolio. This capacity will support our current backlog and future expansion plans that have been delayed due to the limitation of resources throughout the region. This expansion enables SpaceCom to maintain its market position and continue providing cost effective solutions for many years to come," commented Matt DeNapoli, President and CEO, SpaceCom International, LLC.
