SageNet/Spacenet
announced the
creation of a
specialized
business unit
providing
design,
deployment and
support of
managed network
solutions for
the North
American oil and
gas sector. The
SageNet/Spacenet
Energy Group is
led by Vice
President and
General Manager
John Brader.
Previously Mr.
Brader served as
SageNet/Spacenet’s
V.P. of Service
Delivery. Daniel
Levi, a 15-year
veteran of
Spacenet and
expert in the
market has been
promoted to Vice
President of
Sales for the
Energy Group.
“The formation of our
Energy Group is one of
the many synergies
produced by our recent
merger,” said SageNet/Spacenet
CEO Daryl Woodard. “As a
Tulsa-headquartered
business, SageNet has
always had a special
appreciation for the
importance and needs of
the energy market.
Through our merger with
Spacenet, we are now one
of the country’s leading
providers of
communications solutions
for the oil and gas
industry and,
interestingly, are now
geographically
positioned to provide
this market with service
and support that is
second to none.”
“The team is
intensely focused on
serving the sector’s
unique communications
requirements and I’m
truly excited to have
John Brader leading the
unit. With over 13 years
of hands-on experience
in the delivery of
communications services
to mission-critical
operations, John has a
deep understanding of
communications
technologies, and the
specialized needs of the
oil and gas market,”
added Woodard.
“Many of the nation’s
leading energy companies
rely on SageNet’s
Spacenet Satellite
Services for fast,
reliable and secure 24/7
communications,” said
Mr. Brader. “High-speed
communications
technology is crucial in
every phase of today’s
energy lifecycle. From
exploration to
production to
distribution, our oil
and gas solutions
deliver rugged, reliable
systems for remote
exploration and
production facilities,
as well as the full
range of business
communications.
Deploying satellite,
landline and wireless
technologies, we provide
affordable and reliable
data, voice and video
communications
capabilities to manned
land drilling sites and
near-shore platforms, as
well as
machine-to-machine
monitoring
communications for
remote wells and
pipelines,” added Brader.
According to the
company, two key aspects
distinguish SageNet/Spacenet
services from its
competitors’ offerings:
-
Ultra high-speed
Satellite
Communications:
Featuring download
speeds of up to 6 Mbps
and upload speeds of 2
Mbps. These services
feature some of the best
SLA’s in the industry,
topped by the company’s
Premium Customer Support
Program.
-
Geographically Diverse
Dual Hubs with Actively
Managed Switchover, a
capability that provides
both reactive and
proactive switchover to
mitigate or avoid
network interference.
The SageNet/Spacenet
Energy Group provides
end-to-end managed
network services for
energy market
exploration, production
and distribution
operations. Its
offerings include
integrated SLA-backed
communications for rigs,
platforms, vessels,
pipelines and offices,
high quality voice
communications, video
surveillance for
monitoring and security,
M2M/SCADA
communications, and
advanced network
management and
performance optimization
capabilities.
