Globecomm, has been awarded a Delivery Order from the US Army’s Program Executive Office for Command, Control and Communications-Tactical (PEO-C3T) under the Global Tactical Advanced Communications Systems (GTACS) $10 billion indefinite delivery / indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract vehicle.

In November 2012, Globecomm was awarded a GTACS contract for the unrestricted suite of contracts. The multiple award IDIQ contract vehicle has a term of five years and a ceiling of $10 billion.

The PEO-C3T provides US Soldiers with computer systems, radios and communication networks they require to fight the Nation’s wars. They develop, acquire and field to all Army units a range of products including specialized software applications, generators, radios, computers, servers and communication systems; and integrate the systems together so they function seamlessly; while providing on-site training and support for the systems deployed worldwide.

The firm-fixed price award is for the delivery of 65 new satellite modems and 550 satellite modem upgrade kits in support of satellite communications terminals for the Warfighter Information Network – Tactical (WIN-T). This order provides new hardware and upgraded hardware to several organizations to include, but are not limited to, Army, Marines, Central Command (CENTCOM) and Marine Central Command (MARCENT). The contract provides options for additional hardware over the contract period of performance.

Keith Hall, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Globecomm Systems Inc., said: “We are proud to have been selected amongst our GTACS competitors and entrusted to support mission-critical turn-key communications systems and equipment in support of our Warfighters’ needs via this contract vehicle. This is an exciting award as it is the Company’s first under the GTACS contract vehicle.”
