SSL selected to provide high-power satellite to
EchoStar

announced that it was selected to provide a high
power satellite to EchoStar Corporation.

satellite systems," said

president of SSL. "The close working relationship
between our companies is a reflection of our mutual
focus on quality, reliability and value."
EchoStar XXIII will be a
very flexible Ku-band satellite capable of providing
service from any of eight different orbital
slots. Planned for launch in 2016 it is designed to
provide service for 15 years or longer.

president of EchoStar Satellite Services L.L.C., a
wholly-owned subsidiary of EchoStar Corp. "We
