Technology Communications Inc.announced that one of the
largest multimedia retailers in the world has recently
upgraded their current Simulsat 5 system to the new and
improved Simulsat 5b system.
This retailer currently reaches more than 98 million U.S.
households and approximately 195 million cable and satellite
homes worldwide and is the first multimedia company to offer
native high-definition service to its customers since May,
2009. They chose
the
Simulsat 5b upgrade because of their history with ATCi and
the satellite reception capabilities of their current
Simulsat 5.
ATCi
provided and handled the complete installation of the
Simulsat 5b Multibeam System to meet the company's unique
requirements.
"We are
gratified that such a major multimedia organization has
chosen to not only embrace our technology but to upgrade to
our newest Simulsat 5b system," said Gary Hatch, ATCi's CEO.
"This clearly shows ATCi's commitment to deliver
best-of-breed solutions to the ever-changing communications
industry. With Simulsat's ability to receive programming
from up to 35 satellites, this major retailer will be able
to access an exceptionally diverse amount of programming
that far surpasses the satellite reception capabilities of
any other competing system."
