ETL Systems Launches Washington North America Headquarters

Former Intelsat and Harris Caprock Executive to Lead North American Operation

With almost two thirds of sales coming from US-based customers, ETL Systems, a global designer and manufacturer of RF distribution equipment based in the UK, has opened a regional headquarters in Washington DC, US.

The company has appointed former Intelsat and Harris Caprock satcom specialist, Susan Saadat as Vice President to lead the office. The expansion will support ETL Systems’ already strong presence in the US market which accounts for more than 60 percent of its total annualised broadcast, satellite communication, system integration and government orders.

“With this expansion we aim to grow our presence in North America by providing faster sales support and making more face to face visits possible, alongside extra on-the-ground hardware and software technical support,” said Ian Hilditch, Managing Director and CEO of ETL Systems. “We pride ourselves on providing the best quality products, aftercare and customer support in the industry – the US office will enable us to extend capacity in a very important region for us.”

Ms Saadat, the leader of the new operation, previously led the development and launch of new broadband access networks and enterprise solutions for Intelsat. During her extensive career within satellite she was also Vice President responsible for operations, engineering and satellite telecommunications solutions at Caprock Government Solutions which was acquired by Harris Corporation in 2010.

“ETL is the Rolls Royce brand for L-Band Routers, Switches, Splitters and Combiners. It is a brand very much in the ascent and I look forward to helping to drive the continued growth of sales in the US and Canada,” said Saadat.

ETL Systems has been designing and manufacturing RF equipment since 1984 and now has a 65-strong team including dedicated in-house engineering, which specialises in originating RF design concepts, and enhancing existing products.
