ATCi's MeshTV - a full service provider of live and on-demand video, satellite, mobile GSM backhaul and delivery of HLS, iPhone, iPad, Google, Silverlight and other options, announced today from The California State Unversity Dominguez Hills campus in Carson, CA, that its LTE 4G LiveStreamPac compact video system was successfully used to broadcast the college Jitsu Championship over the past weekend maintaining an average stream of 4mbps for over 6 hours of transmission.
LiveStreamPac boasts a rich feature set, such as high level HD video resolution, super performance, advanced innovative technology for resilient transmission in all cellular reception areas including poor coverage areas, and exclusive hardware and software devices that enable easy and affordable worldwide roaming.
"We are proud that our technology is being used to deliver niche programming for such an important sporting event," said Gary Hatch ATCi's CEO. "LiveStreamPac is a low-cost portable and extremely small alternative to the larger satellite news gathering trucks particularly for an event of this size where SNGs are too costly," Hatch continued. "LTE 4G LiveStreamPac provides HD (1080i quality) up to 6 MB/s of bandwidth throughput and because of its mobility, the system literally takes broadcasting events or late breaking news in any in remote areas to a new level," Hatch concluded.
LiveStreamPac and LiveStreamPac Pro will be demonstrated live at the upcoming Streaming Media West Converence, October 30-31, in Los Angeles. ![]() |
