Satélites Mexicanos, S.A. de C.V. Announces Pricing of $35 Million of Additional Senior Secured Notes

Satélites Mexicanos, S.A. de C.V. (“Satmex”) announced the issuance of $35 million aggregate principal amount of additional senior secured notes due 2017 (the “Notes”) in a private placement under rule 144A and Regulation S of the Securities Act of 1933, as amended (the “Notes Issuance”). The Notes were priced at 102.00% on March 30, 2012 and will bear interest at an annual rate of 9.50%. The Notes Issuance closed on April 9, 2012.

 

The Notes have not been registered under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended, or any state securities laws. Further, the Notes may not be offered or sold in the United States absent registration or an applicable exemption from registration requirements and, therefore, will be subject to substantial restrictions on transfer. The Notes Issuance is being made only to qualified institutional buyers inside the United States and to certain non-U.S. investors located outside the United States.
