Feb 14, 2012

UltiSat Inc., has been awarded a General Services Administration (GSA) contract under the Custom SATCOM Solutions -- Small Business (CS2-SB) program. This contract vehicle, with projected spending of up to $900M over the next five years, allows US government agencies to acquire professional satellite engineering services and customized end-to-end commercial satellite communications solutions (COMSATCOM) via prequalified small business industry partners.

"UltiSat professionals possess more than 20 years small-business experience providing a multitude of custom VSAT networks and other COMSATCOM solutions for government, nongovernment, and multinational enterprises," said Moe Abutaleb, president and CEO of UltiSat. "We are honored to have been selected as an awardee on the prestigious CS2-SB contract vehicle and look forward to offering our extensive experience and unique past performance to US government customers in need of high-quality, managed network services."

CS2-SB is a three-year base indefinite delivery/indefinite quality (ID/IQ), multiple award vehicle, with two one-year options that can be used by the US government to acquire COMSATCOM services anywhere in the world. It provides global end-to-end solutions of any combination of fixed satellite service, mobile satellite service and/or service-enabling components such as terminals, teleport, and terrestrial interface tail circuits. It can also be used to procure the engineering services needed to integrate, operate, and maintain solutions. Examples of networks that UltiSat can provide under this vehicle include:

-- Emergency response and disaster recovery communications systems

-- Satellite-based backup communications networks

-- Distributed distance learning networks

-- Communications on the move and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (COTM/ISR) solutions

"UltiSat is well positioned as a qualified small business to provide those services required by US government personnel to complete their missions. We are nimble and responsive and can provide COMSATCOM solutions anywhere and anytime on the planet. The government recognizes that well-run small businesses like UltiSat can partner with end users to meet their needs efficiently and cost effectively," added Michael Pollack, Vice President, Government Services, UltiSat.
