a.i. solutions awarded five-year contract to support NASA and Air Force launch operations

a.i. solutions has been awarded a contract with a potential value of $138 million to provide program management and engineering services in support of NASA, Department of Defense, and other government and commercial spacecraft launch activities over the next five years.

Work on the contract, known as Expendable Launch Vehicle Integrated Support 2 (ELVIS 2), will be based at Kennedy Space Center in Florida, but will also include activities at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California and other sites where the U.S. government launches satellites and other spacecraft. a.i. solutions has been supporting NASA’s Expendable Launch Vehicle program since 1998, including support to the predecessor contract, ELVIS.

The a.i. solutions team consists of a.i. solutions and a major subcontractor, QinetiQ North America. Under the contract, a.i. solutions and QinetiQ North America will provide launch vehicle engineering and analysis; technical integration services; communications and telemetry support; safety, reliability, and quality support; facilities maintenance; and information technology support for NASA, Air Force and other launches.

In 2010, a.i. solutions was named Small Business Prime Contractor of the Year by NASA. The company provides a range of support to NASA operations at Kennedy Space Center, Goddard Space Flight Center, Marshall Space Flight Center, and Johnson Space Center. The company also provides cyber security and emergency management services at NASA headquarters.
