UltiSat Awarded GSA IT Schedule 70 Contract

Nov 28, 2011

UltiSat Inc., has been awarded a General Services Administration (GSA) contract and inclusion on GSA's IT Schedule 70. Under Special Item Numbers (SINs) created by the GSA and under the Defense Intelligence Systems Agency's (DISA) Future Commercial Satellite Communications (COMSATCOM) Services Acquisition (FCSA) program, UltiSat will provide Transponded (SIN 132-54), Subscription (SIN 132-55) and Equipment (SIN 132-8) services. The indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract award covers a period of five years with three, five-year renewal options.

"UltiSat is committed to providing COMSATCOM solutions with superior customer care and service, and this Schedule 70 award enables us to perform our mission for both current and future government customers," said Moe Abutaleb, president and CEO of UltiSat. "The largest, most widely used acquisition vehicle in the federal government, Schedule 70, will enable UltiSat to directly provide government agencies with flexibility, choice, and easy access to our diverse and comprehensive portfolio of satellite communications and teleport services and solutions."

The FCSA program is replacing a number of DISA and GSA contract vehicles, including DSTS-G, Inmarsat DITCO, and SATCOM II. The Transponded services SIN includes leasing of short and long-term satellite bandwidth for most frequency bands and transponder configurations. The Subscription services SIN includes provision of predefined fixed satellite service (FSS) and mobile satellite service (MSS) solutions to support myriad connectivity requirements anywhere on the planet requiring Internet, corporate data, voice and/or video services. The Equipment services SIN includes sale of new equipment to support the frequency bands, transponder configurations and services provided under the Transponded and Subscription SINs.

"This contract vehicle gives UltiSat one more avenue to provide its specialized satellite services and solutions to our military, federal, and state agencies," said Michael Pollack, VP, Government Services. "Our new clients under this program will benefit from the high level of customer responsiveness that we apply towards every one of our current projects."
