TrustComm announced that its subsidiary SkyPort Maritime, Inc. has entered into a global partnership agreement with an international maritime communications organization currently supporting a global fleet of over 1,000 maritime vessels. The agreement includes the roll out of SkyPort Maritime’s shipboard VSAT, Wi-Fi, 3G/4G and network services to this organization’s global customer base.
SkyPort Maritime’s communication solutions will include TruePort Wi-Fi, TrueSat VSAT, and TrueG 3G. SkyPort Maritime will integrate its solutions into the existing solutions already in place and supported by the new international partner.
TrustComm and SkyPort have a long history of providing broadband satellite and terrestrial communication services to their clients. In 2010, SkyPort Maritime added two new service offerings to its maritime portfolio, TruePort Wi-Fi solution and TrueG 3G/4G. TruePort Wi-Fi offers Wi-Fi access in major ports around the world allowing for the fastest and least expensive communication solution for vessels while at a terminal. The TrueG 3G/4G solution offers clients access to 3G/4G services while in port and near shore. SkyPort Maritime worked closely with AT&T to establish this global 3G/4G network.
Earlier this year, SkyPort Maritime announced that MVS would become its exclusive supplier of Inmarsat and Iridium services, and last week, the two companies announced an innovative strategic expansion of their relationship thereby creating the only complete maritime communication solution offered in the industry.

The roll out of the SkyPort Maritime combined communication solution to this new distribution partner is to begin immediately. As part of the relationship, TrustComm will be providing network services to assist in building and developing teleport capabilities to service certain in-country markets internationally
