Sep 28, 2010
Integral Systems, Inc. /quotes/comstock/15*!isys/quotes/nls/isys has been awarded a sole source contract from a leading Satellite Communications (SATCOM) service provider to expand its existing satellite fleet control system to support four Boeing 702 satellites already in orbit.
Under the terms of the contract, the legacy command and control system will be replaced with Integral Systems' EPOCH Integrated Product Suite (IPS) and the four Boeing 702 satellites' operations will be integrated into the customer's existing EPOCH-based fleet control system. EPOCH IPS is today's most widely used satellite command and control system operating Boeing 702 satellites.
"Integral Systems and our EPOCH product line is the preferred choice for easy-to-use and cost-effective command and control and satellite fleet management by satellite owners and operators worldwide," said James Kramer, Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Civil and Commercial Group at Integral Systems. "EPOCH IPS' open architecture and inherent flexibility allows us to support our customers as their business and operations grow, regardless of whether they are operating a few satellites or multiple constellations."
