Globecomm Awarded Various Contracts from US Government Agencies Valued at $4.0 Million

Globecomm Systems Inc. been awarded various contracts from US Government Agencies valued at $4.0 million.

 

Under the terms set forth in the contract, Globecomm will supply its Network Management Software (NMS) product, AxxSys(R) Orion, and associated engineering support services. The AxxSys(R) Orion NMS will support the global operations of several large entry earth stations as well as numerous smaller fixed and portable satellite systems.

 

AxxSys(R) Orion distributed architecture allows government personnel to manage each terminal asset from their desktop, thereby reducing ongoing maintenance and support costs. Several features of the AxxSys(R) Orion product are ideal for global network management. These include the low bandwidth demands of the AxxSys(R) Orion Multiprotocol Processors as well as centralized configuration management, enhanced security, and a powerful aggregation data model.
