Lyntris
Selected by SES to Deliver Resilient,
GEO Satellite Payloads for U.S. Space
Force's PTS-G Program
Oct. 13, 2026
Lyntris has
been selected by Intelsat General
Communications, LLC, a SES Space &
Defense company, to serve as prime
payload integrator in support of the
U.S. Space Force's Protected Tactical
Satellite Communications–Global (PTS-G)
program.
PTS-G is a U.S.
Space Force program to build a
constellation of small satellites in
geostationary orbit.
Using the Protected Tactical Waveform
(PTW), this fleet will give warfighters
a communications link that is more
resilient. The
constellation will augment legacy
tactical SATCOM satellites with a
distributed and proliferated network
that can absorb the loss of any single
spacecraft. Space Systems Command has
structured the effort as a
multiple-award IDIQ contract with a
ceiling of $4 billion.
As prime payload
integrator, Lyntris will provide the RF
payload architecture, precision pointing
systems, and antenna technologies that
form the foundation of the PTS-G's
protected communications capability.
Intelsat General Communications, LLC.
serves as the prime contractor for the
effort.
Lyntris brings more
than 30 years of experience delivering
complex antenna and RF systems for
military missions across all orbits. Its
proven GEO heritage — earned where
performance and resilience requirements
are at their most demanding —
substantially reduces technical risk,
and Lyntris' integrated
design-build-test capability allows it
to meet the accelerated development
timelines demanded by this crucial
program. The company's payload
integration and test facilities also
reduce supply chain risk, consolidating
work that might otherwise span multiple
vendors under one roof. Combined, these
factors are why Intelsat General
Communications, LLC. selected Lyntris as
prime payload integrator for a program
that demands speed and commercial
readiness without compromising
performance.
"Being selected as
the payload integrator for PTS-G is
validation of the mission critical RF
and resilient pointing capability our
team has built over decades — and the
proprietary IP that lets us move from
design to flight at the speed this
mission demands," said Brian Morrison,
CEO at Lyntris. "This is exactly the
kind of mission-critical work Lyntris
was built to deliver, and I couldn't be
more proud of the team."
"PTS-G demands
performance with zero margin for error
in GEO, and that's exactly where our
team excels," said Richie Dart, General
Manager of C5ISR at Lyntris. "This award
reflects years of engineering discipline
behind every multiband and resilient RF
system we've fielded, and we're ready to
deliver that same rigor for the Space
Force."
"PTS-G represents
the next generation of protected
tactical satellite communications, and
our team is committed to delivering the
advanced payload technologies this
mission demands," said David Broadbent,
President and CEO of SES Space &
Defense. "Lyntris's resilient payload
architecture design, combined with their
integrated antenna and motion systems
are central to our ability to compete
for this role, and this award builds on
our long history of delivering secure,
resilient space capabilities to the U.S.
government."
Lyntris will
integrate and test the full PTS-G
Payload at their integration facility in
Longmont, Colorado. The PTS-G program is
managed by Space Systems Command (SSC)
at Los Angeles Air Force Base,
California, with initial operational
capability targeted for fiscal year
2029.
