Gilat Satcom and AST chosen to provide MSS services to the Israeli Government

Gilat Satcom and Applied Satellite Technology Ltd (AST) have been awarded a 36 months procurement contract by the Israeli Government covering all MSS services on both Inmarsat and Iridium networks. This contract covers IP and handheld services and leverages the value adds and solutions supplied by both Gilat Satcom and AST in the Mobile Satellite Services (MSS) industry.

“Assured delivery of MSS IP (specifically BGAN) traffic from AST, key solutions such as DigiGone and Gilat Satcom’s vast knowledge and capability in serving the Israeli Government were key factors in the choice of the Gilat Satcom/AST partnership” stated Ami Schneider, Vice President Mobile Satellite and Voice Services at Gilat Satcom "We are committed to provide our customers with the most advanced communications services during routine and emergency times ".
